Featuring 14 tracks, including songs from the film, it captures the tension of first love and self-discovery through Kiyoko’s pop sound.

‘GIRLS LIKE GIRLS’ explores the story of a young woman who navigates love, identity, and self-expression while discovering her voice in a story full of heart, humour and music. Directed by Hayley Kiyoko and distributed by Focus Features, the film blends her signature visual style with original songs, creating an immersive, music-driven experience. Rooted in authentic queer storytelling, it celebrates representation, friendship and personal empowerment.

The film stars Maya da Costa (‘Under the Bridge’) as Coley and Myra Molloy (‘He’s All That’) as Sonya, expanding the world first introduced in Hayley’s viral 2015 ‘Girls Like Girls’ music video, which has now surpassed 145 million views. This story’s evolution from hit single to viral video to a New York Times bestselling novel reflects nearly a decade of cultural resonance and fan devotion.

The film will feature four songs, with the full soundtrack including ten tracks, encompassing the complete musical landscape of the movie. The soundtrack also serves as Hayley’s new record, which she will be touring in support of, ensuring a seamless connection between the film, her album cycle and live performances.
