The album features brand new original material, alongside beautiful new interpretations of songs originally recorded by artists such as John Denver, Bread and Gilbert O'Sullivan. Co-written with and produced by Steve Anderson (Kylie, Westlife) and Anders Hansson (Agnetha Faltskog, Cher, Agnes).

As Good As It Was follows Her story has also come full circle through her collaboration with John Bettis, the Songwriters Hall of Fame lyricist who, together with Richard Carpenter, wrote many of The Carpenters' defining songs, including Yesterday Once More, Top of the World and Goodbye to Love. Their songwriting partnership helped shape
the unmistakable sound and emotional character of The Carpenters' music, making Harriet's creative relationship with Bettis all the more poignant.

The choice of We've Only Just Begun to open the As Good As It Was era therefore feels particularly fitting. Morethan half a century after The Carpenters made the song a worldwide hit, its message of optimism and new beginnings introduces what promises to be the most significant chapter of Harriet's career yet.Harriet's acclaimed 2024 album and live show Trying To Get The Feeling Again, which brought together her original material and interpretations of her favourite sounds of the 1970s.
