Au/Ra’s heartcore is a concept-driven debut shaped between London and Los Angeles, drawing together ethereal pop, electronica, 8-bit hyperpop and alt-rock. Across 16 tracks, she constructs a fictional persona to explore the impact of her girlhood experiences and the pressures of tying self-worth to creativity.

Songs like ‘KILLSWITCH’, ‘CRACK!’, ‘HIGH FANTASY’ and ‘SWAMP’ trace a path through this internal landscape, moving from disorientation towards recovery. The album unfolds as a sequence of interconnected moments, each revealing another facet of the character’s emotional journey.
