Anri - Heaven Beach

Originally released in 1982, Heaven Beach is Anri's fourth studio album and one of the defining records of early Japanese city pop. More relaxed and spacious than some of her contemporaneous releases, the album blends smooth funk, soft-focus pop and coastal disco influences, anchored by buoyant horn arrangements and Anri's expressive, agile vocal style.

Long before the genre's later rediscovery through future funk and vaporwave, Heaven Beach already carried an innate sense of movement and atmosphere. This Japanese import edition is presented in a picture sleeve replicating the original cover artwork, plus fold-out insert and classic obi-strip, preserving the original aesthetic of this sought-after city pop staple.
